There’s a very easy way to prove this theory in just two weeks. Make written notes of much weight you can lift and for how many reps for each exercise in your weight training routine. Now eat 300 calories less per day than you need to maintain your weight and follow your weight lifting routine as normal. If after two weeks you are now able to lift more weight for the same number of reps for each exercise then you have definitely gained strength and therefore muscle on a calorie deficit diet!!!
@alitjuhhh Your body will never actually “burn” muscle for energy, unless all other energy stores are exhausted (in starvation circumstances). The thing is, your brain can only run on glucose, and it requires ~150 grams of carbs a day. Carbohydrates are converted into glucose. The thing is, fat cannot be converted into glucose, but amino acids (muscle tissue) can. I would love to elaborate further, but I am running out of characters. But think along those lines.
But, how do you know if with a daily caloric deficit of 500-700 kcal, you won’t burn muscle in addition to fat to make up for the deficit??
I mean, yes, you might be eating protein and carbs, but a deficit is a deficit, and your body is going to break down it’s (muscle/fat) resources to compensate.
It seems to me that whether or not this compensation occurs with muscle or with fat, is not relevant to your protein/carbohydrate intake.
@BodyPerformanceTV STEVE I KNOW IN ORDER TO GAIN MUSCLE U HAVE TO have more than maintenance calories surplus but then again you’ll gain fat that way as well. so how do I do this? its confusing.
@AndyEigenman
Yep!That is the only diet solution that
really worked for me and Im glad it
worked for you too! For my muscle
improvement, Ive been trying so many
diet plans. Until I found this site:
MusclesMaximizer.info
and I could never be more happy.:))
Does cario burn muscle? I lift weights and do a good 45 minutes to an hour of jumproping for cardio but im trying to build good amounts of muscle to… my nutrition is good.
im 169 lbs, 5”9, i have been working out for a while but not sure how to get a toned chest, it is kinda ok now but still soft on the side and make it looks bad from far a way…so do i need to keep doing pushup and bench press? do i need to do declined bench press?
I love this video.. I only have problems calculating my activity level- I lift for 1hr. mon.wed.fri. do 20-30min cardio tues.thurs.sat. SUNDAY OFF, or maybe just a walk or something enjoyable(b-ball or the like. does this seem to fall under 3-5hrs/wk. or 5-6hrs. I lift very hard for that hour, cardio is only at T.H.R. bout 135 b.p.m. YOUR THOUGHTS PLEASE. I was lean untill I started eating bout 3300-3700 calories– I need to tweak this badly. by only eating th CLEAN calories I need
@macncheez54 Hahaha! I couldn’t agree more, I also got amazing results in just two weeks I lose weight! The site that suggested effective plans is WeightLossAction. info
